The Durham Francophone Community Legal Support Program is dedicated to providing specialized assistance to our diverse community. With a full range of services, including consultations, legal information and information sessions, our goal is to ensure that every individual has access to quality legal information.   • Legal consultations and advice;
  • Referral to legal resources;
  • Referral to translators and interpreters;
  • Information sessions on the civil and criminal justice systems and on rights and responsibilities.

We offer information sessions and workshops on various legal topics such as: 👉

  • Canada's legal system and courts;
  • Alternative dispute resolution (arbitration, mediation, negotiation);
  • Immigration and refugee protection in Canada ;
  • Workplace safety and dispute resolution;
  • The tenant's rights and obligations;
  • Crimes, offenses and their consequences;
  • Traffic offence procedures;
  • The power of police;
  • Inheritance and wills;
  • Bullying and cyberbullying; and others as needed.
